Constance Weiss Obituary

Constance A. Weiss "Connie" GOOSE CREEK - Constance A. Weiss "Connie" of Goose Creek, loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend passed away Tuesday morning, June 1, 2010. Born and raised in St. Paul, Minnesota, she moved to St. Joseph, Missouri with her husband, William, where they raised their children. After he passed away, she moved to Goose Creek, with her oldest son Steven in 2000. She enjoyed her family and traveling with Steven to several countries and on many cruises. Her passion was working as a high school counselor assistant at Central High School and volunteer work. She started the Candy Stripers in St. Joseph, MO, and worked with the Welcome Wagon. She is survived by her children: Steven Weiss of Goose Creek, Scott Weiss (Terri) of Noblesville, IN and Chris Fenner of Mt. Pleasant; five grandchildren: Lindsey Fenner (Brian Phillips) of Denver, CO; Private 1st Class Allison Fenner US Army currently serving in Afghanistan; Rachel Weiss, Daniel Weiss and Thomas Weiss all of Noblesville, IN and great-grandson Isaiah Weiss of Noblesville, IN. She was preceded in death by her brother Thomas Fuller and sister Joan Raak. The family will receive friends from 10 until 11am with the funeral service beginning at 11am on Thursday, June 3, 2010 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 510 St. James Avenue, Goose Creek. Graveside services will be held at Fort Snelling National Cemetery in Minneapolis, MN, where she will rejoin her husband William Weiss. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 5900 Core Road, Suite 504, North Charleston, SC 29406 or the American Heart Association, 409 King Street, Charleston, SC 29403. Steve and Weiss Family- So sorry for your loss, Mrs. Weiss was a wonderful lady who enjoyed life to the fullest! We will miss seeing her at our events. If there is anything at all you need, please let us know! You are in our thoughts and prayers!
