Delbert & the Richardson Family:
She walked down the aisle to "NEVER WOULD HAVE MADE IT", God has a plan for all of us. Cherish the moments as husband and wife and Colesta will be with you forever. She was a STRONG person and we all know that God is too WISE to make a mistake. The words to that song is a testimony in itself and Colesta could not have found a better song to march down to take her wedding vows with you and I know you are strong and always cherish the good times and if we all live right we will see her again someday. Be Blessed and I will keep you all in my constant prayers.

Carol, Candace, Jesse, Delbert, and Crystal:
When we hope in the Lord-trusting His promises and timing we soar above grief and sorrow. God restores our energy so we can continue our lives and not grow weary, walk and not feel faint. Colesta was always loving and warm to me-a sweet gentle lady. My thoughts and prayers are with you.
God Bless.

God looked around his Garden and found an empty place.
He then looked down upon his earth and saw your loving face.
He put his arms around you and lifted you to rest.
His Garden must be beautiful, he always takes the best.
He knew that you were suffering, he knew you were in pain.
And knew that you would never get well on earth again.
He saw your path was difficult, he closed you tired eyes,
He whispered to you "Peace be Thine" and gave you wings to fly.
When we saw you sleeping so calm and free of pain,
We would not wish you back to earth to suffer once again.
You've left us precious memories, your love will be our guide,
You live on through your children, you're always by our side.
It broke our hearts to lose you, but you did not go alone.
For part of us went with you on the day God called you home

You have my deepest sympathy, I am so sorry for your lost. She will truly be missed.

Richardson-Washington family:
What a part death plays in ones life. The pain it brings to those that are left to grieve but to those that have passed on "IT'S AMAZING GRACE HOW SWEET THE SOUND - TO HAVE NO MORE SICKNESS, NOT HAVING TO SAY LORD HELP ME DEAL WITH THIS PERSON OR THAT PERSON, OR TO SAY LORD PLEASE FORGIVE ME BUT RIGHT NOW I JUST WANT TO WHIP THIS PERSON AND I'LL REPENT." BUT oh when LITTLE MAN(Colesta) saw the "LILY OF THE VALLEY", "THE BRIGHT AND MORNING STAR", "KING OF KINGS", AND MOST OF ALL "LORD OF LORD" AND THE STREETS THAT ARE PAVED WITH GOLD. I believed that Little man said,"Lord what took you so long". She might have thought about us or given us a second thought, but that thought from her point of view that would have been like how far the east is from the west as well as the man that wanted to come back and warn his brothern of his destination so that they wouldn't make the mistake and be where he ended up. The point is TO REST IN THE BOSSOM OF JESUS NO MAN CAN COMPARE TO!!!! SO WE MIGHT AS WELL FACE IT AND SEE IT FROM 'LITTLE MANS/COLESTA'S SIDE. FREE AT LAST THANK GOD ALMIGHTY I'M FREE.

In My Pocket
I have memories in my pocket.
They rattle among the change.
My memories of you are treasures I carry wherever I go.
They are stored in bits and pieces, parts of a beautiful whole
They give me comfort when I think I am alone.
Yes, I have memories in my pocket, like so much other stuff I keep there.
But of all the treasures I have, it’s the memories of you that are the most precious.

A true reflection of our classmate, Colesta Richardson. It's been 27 years since graduation, oh it seems as if it was just yesterday. Our last meet & greet occasion was less than a year ago.
That extraordinary date was your wedding date, oh what a celebration it was,
you and her husband were glowing with joy, fame, and the holy spirit.
Everyone shouted & danced; oh I can recall the joy, fame and happiness…it was so exciting. We were so elated to not only celebrate the union, but to reminisce and to wish you the very best. I will always remember the special moments in class and I will continue to reminisce on the past. I've come the the conclusion that God took you for reasons beyond seasons. Honestly, your homecoming just reminded me that Heaven is the everlasting resting home. My family will pray for you and your immediate family during this trying time. God blessed you for all your endeavors on earth...please continue to Rest in Peace. Amen.

To:
Mr. Washington & Richarson Family,
Know that Colesta is smiling down on you all, for she's not concerned about the size. Jhn 14:1-3, In my Father's house are many mansions: if [it were] not [so], I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, [there] ye may be also. One of those mansions belong to Colesta. Through every season Gods grace comes to rescue, restore, repair and release.

Jesus died and lived again more than 2000 years ago. Those of us who are believers know Him through faith and through the witness of those who walked with Him during his ministry. That witness has drawn us to Jesus 2000 years later.
In that same way, I got to know Colesta through the mutual love and friendship that we shared by way of Mrs. Ora Lee Jamison. Ora Lee's witness of the character and nature of Colesta through our many conversations engendered in me a love for your wife, your daughter, your beloved friend. May the Lord of our lives live though us so that we might leave a legacy of love that this fine woman has left. God be with you

To the Washington & Richardson Family, Colesta was the very Tree of Life: (Proverbs 3:13-18) reads;
You're blessed when you meet Lady Wisdom,
when you make friends with Madame Insight, she's worth far more than money in the bank; her friendship is better than a big salary. Her value exceeds all the trappings of wealth; nothing you could wish for holds a candle to her. With one hand she gives long life, with the other she confers recognition. Her manner is beautiful, her life wonderfully complete.
