I'm saddened hearing of kits passing. My condolences to Susan and the children. I met kit in 1990 when I first came down to Charleston I worked on a few of his downtown projects as a carpenter. The first memory I have with him personally was I put my circular saw down with the guard up and it zinged across the floor and he started screaming at me telling me it was antique heard pine and irreplaceable. And I said this suff is junk!! Well that day I got schooled. From that encounter an 20 year friendship and business relationship Florirished. We started a company that year that still Floririshes today. That company is palmetto hardwood floors. He will be missed by everyone that knew him. Great guy, rest in peace brother.
