Charles Reavis Obituary

Charles Reavis Ladson - Charles Lewis Reavis, 77, of Ladson, SC, a retired electrical inspector at SUPSHIP Charleston, died Saturday morning at the Veteran's Victory House. His funeral will be 1:00 PM Tuesday afternoon, October 25, 2016, in the CHAPEL OF DIAL-MURRAY FUNERAL HOME, MONCKS CORNER. Interment will follow in Dorchester Memory Gardens, Summerville. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:00 until 8:00 PM this Monday evening. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to the Veteran's Victory House, 2461 Sidney's Rd., Walterboro, SC 29488. Mr. Reavis was born February 9, 1939, in Ehrhardt, SC, a son of Charles David Reavis and Murice Kinard Reavis. He was a US Army veteran and a member of Old Fort Baptist Church. Mr. Reavis was formerly employed as an electronics mechanic at the Charleston Naval Shipyard and as a quality assurance officer at Detyens Shipyard. In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing and was a member of the Summerville Shag Club. He was the widower of Shirley Wethington Reavis. Surviving are, three daughters, Anne R. Dyal and her husband, Kenny, Sharon R. Droze and her husband, Jimmy, and Charlotte R. Moss and her husband, Terry, all of Summerville; four grandchildren, Christi Billington and her husband, Jeremy, of Tallahassee, and Kevin Dyal and his wife, Alexandria, Emily Way, and J. Elliott Moss and his fiance;e, Taalor, all of Summerville; and three great-grandchildren, Avery Billington, Oliver Moss, and Arya Dyal.
