My sincere sympathy goes to Barbara and Kelly Jo at this time of mourning for Uncle Charlie. My heart feels sad that this day had to come all too soon. However, my heart is rejoicing as Uncle Charlie is now with him Momma and walking without pain or anguish along her side in heaven. what a rejoyious reunion that must have been. And the laughter that must be going on as Uncle Charlie and Bob talk about old times. And, Uncle Russell... the reunion has to be a big one as Uncle Charlie's laughter was always unbinded by constraint. His smile was contagious and his heart was big. I do remember playing monopoly as a child in about the 5th grade.. on snowy days... when he would visit. We used all the change in Daddy's coin 'sock' to buy pepsi's from next door and our Monopoly game went on and on. WE laughed so much. It was so much fun and a fond memory from my childhood. We termed the pepsi's as "belly washers" due to their size. Uncle Charlie seemed to never have met a stranger and I loved hearing Navy stories. The world has lost a giant teddy bear with a big heart. But, heaven has gained one and I am conforted to know that he is looking down upon us... laughing at our silly mistakes... and watching our everyday lives in the company of those who have gone before him... and making a spot for those of us who will follow. Have fun in Heaven Uncle Charlie... and save me a seat by you... I will be expecting a giant hug... in the future. I love you... and I know you loved us. Until later... Susan Marie Orme

Uncle Charlie will be dearly missed by many people. I will keep the many memories that I have at heart and cherish forever. Barb and family, I want to thank you for sharing him with us kids. Some may not know how Uncle Charlie became a big part of my life. He was a good friend of my dad's for many years and once Uncle Charlie came into our lives he was always there for us no matter what. As a young child, boy did he discipline me. As a young adult, he walked me down the aisle when I got married. I couldn't have asked a better person to stand in for my dad. Moving up to Michigan, I didn't get to see him as much as I wanted but I did drop a call to him every now and then or drop in when I was down to visit. I wish I could have had more time but I understand he had to go. Now he is up in the big house talking to family and friends catching up on old times and talking about all of us. Until we meet again, I love you Uncle Charlie and I will miss you.

My dearest Uncle Charlie, there are no words that can describe how I feel about you. You were one of my most favorite uncles, the other one was Bob. Now you are with him and talking about old times and telling Robbie about each and every one of the tales of which there are many. I am sure you all are together having the best time. We will one day be together again and what a joyus day that will be. I am so sorry that I wasn't able to be by your side, but I was always there in spirit. I used to visit you often when I lived there and had so much fun. Thanks for always hooking me up with the shrimp. haha. I love you so much Uncle Charlie and you will be sorely missed. Kisses and hugs to you. Barb and Kelly, I am so sorry the "big guy" is gone, but he will NEVER be forgotten...
