Carolyn Coleman Eidem GOOSE CREEK - To our precious Mother, Grandmother, Teacher, and Friend, Carolyn Coleman Eidem, 84, of Goose Creek, passed away peacefully at Trident Regional Hospital surrounded by loved ones on April 20, 2024, at 10:52 pm. Carolyn was predeceased by her late husband, Darrell L. Eidem, Sr., and they were married for 65 years. Carolyn was a member of First Baptist of Goose Creek. She was a devoted Christian; Jesus Christ was her Lord and Savior. Carolyn was born January 3, 1940, in Columbia, SC, and is the daughter of the late George Coleman and Gertrude Coleman. She was a devoted mother. She is survived by her son, Lon and wife, Tammy Eidem of Ladson, SC and three daughters: Karen and Patrick Pylant of Beaufort, SC, Lori and Robert Payne of Sanford, NC, and Brenda and Gregg Rankin of Summerville, SC. Carolyn also had 11 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Her family was everything to her. Carolyn loved camping and enjoyed traveling throughout the US and Canada. She especially loved Alaska and watching the Aurora Borealis and varied wildlife. She enjoyed her mountain home in Hendersonville, NC. Carolyn was also an avid plant lover and enjoyed getting her hands dirty as she talked to her plants. Her favorite plant was her Knockout Roses, which she tended and nurtured to ensure their beautiful blooms year after year. She especially loved her dogs, Winston (Fuzzy Butt) and Ziggy, who will miss her dearly. Carolyn was a school bus driver for many years in the Goose Creek area. She will be missed by all those who knew her and loved her. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that a donation be made to the National Organization for Disorders of The Corpus Collosum. The celebration of her life will be held June 15th at 2:00 pm at Miles Road Baptist Church in Summerville, SC.
