SCHNEIDER, Carl

Entered into eternal rest on the afternoon of May 2, 2007, Carl Velarous Schneider, husband of Elizabeth Scurry Schneider. Residence, Charleston, SC. The relatives and friends of Mr. and Mrs. Carl V. Schneider are invited to attend the funeral services of the former Saturday, May 5, 2007 at two o'clock in James Island Baptist Church. Interment, Live Oak Memorial Gardens. Friends may call at J. HENRY STUHR, INC., DOWNTOWN CHAPEL Friday between five and seven o'clock. Mr. Schneider was born August 19, 1917 in Charleston, SC, the son of Oscar Edward Schneider and Isabelle Koeper Schneider. He was a graduate of Murray Vocational High School and served with the U.S. Coast Guard during World War II. He retired as an Electrical Contractor. Mr. Schneider was a member of James Island Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife of 60 years of James Island, SC; two daughters: Deborah S. Walker and her husband James of Yonges Island, SC and Pamela S. Blackwood and her husband Walter of Crystal Beach, FL; two sons: Carl V. Schneider, Jr. and his wife Debbie of Hanson, KY and David T. Schneider and his wife Barbara of Awendaw, SC; five grandchildren: Brad, Kevin, Stephanie, Bryan and David; 3 great grandchildren: Zack, Noah and Maddox. He was predeceased by his sister, Elsie S. Adams and his brother, Oscar Edward Schneider. The family would like to thank Hospice of Charleston Staff for their wonderful care and support.
