Buell Earl Blocker HOLLYWOOD, SC - Buell Earl Blocker passed away at home on Saturday June 16, 2018. His funeral will be held at Simplicity Funeral Home on Peppermill Parkway in North Charleston, Family will receive friends at the funeral home between 11am and 1pm and a small service at 1pm on Wednesday June 20, 2018. Earl was born December 26, 1936, in Charleston, SC, to Laurie Blocker and Viola White Blocker. He loved spending time in the mountains, being with friends and most importantly his family. He was preceded in death by a son, Buell Earl Blocker Jr., and he was a widower to Sandra Wolfe Blocker. Surviving is a partner, Betsy Cook; and children, Michael L Wilson (Jamie and Brandon) of Hollywood. Earl Samuel Blocker (Tonya, Sammy Jr. Shelby) of Summerville, Philip Newton Blocker (Amanda, Philip Jr. Scarlett) of Summerville and Sandra Earlene Welborn (Tony, TJ, Adrianna, Ryan) of Willis, Texas; two great grandchildren and one on the way. Also his loving siblings, Leola Lunny of North Charleston, Vivian Browning of Folly Beach, Myrtle Grande of James Island, Lorenzo Blocker of Hillsboro, Texas and Alice Carey of Georgia.
