Bonnie Sell Obituary

Bonnie Lee Sell CHARLESTON - It is with deepest sadness and regret to announce that Bonnie Lee Sell passed away on Friday, July 18, 2025. Bonnie was born April 25, 1949, in Columbia SC, the daughter of Faye D. Thrailkill and Ernest G. Shields. She was raised by her grandfather, Frank Thrailkill. Bonnie graduated from Dreher High School, where she was a cheerleader and on the track team. She then obtained a degree in Respiratory Therapy and worked for Dr. John Sutton's office for several years. She found the opportunity to join Blue Cross - Blue Shield SC in the Human Resource department. Later she transferred into marketing with the Federal Employee Benefit Division. She spent the rest of her career with BCBS achieving many awards and recognition for her outstanding performance, retiring in 2012. Bonnie's greatest and most loving rewards were her children, daughter, Kelli, and son, Todd. They were the sole light of her life, followed by the delight and love of her adorable grandchildren, Cullen, Brock, Ashton, and Chase. They were her everything, and she could not see or be with them enough. While with BCBS, she met and married her husband, George Louie Sell. They were married for 29 years, enjoying the union of both families. She was God's gift to him, he loved her immensely and he will miss her more than ever can be said. Bonnie loved beach music, shagging, gardening, shopping, going out to restaurants and stores, being with friends, and sitting on the front porch enjoying the outdoors. Bonnie is survived by her husband, G. Louie Sell and his family; daughter, Kelli Few Dupree; son, Todd Few (Veronica); grandchildren, Cullen Dupree (Claudia), Brock Dupree (Madison), Ashton Dupree, and Chase Dupree. Also, her great-grandchildren, May, Daisey, Wilder, and Elizabeth. We love and miss you, Bonnie!! Forever and Always!!!
