Bill Hoff Obituary

Bill Hoff COTTAGEVILLE - Mr. Bill Hoff, husband of Patricia Pressler Hoff, died Tuesday morning at Roper Hospital after a brief and courageous battle with cancer. He was 60. Bill was born in Walterboro December 20, 1950, a son of William Harold Hoff, Sr. and Frankie Alred Hoff. He was a graduate of the Baptist College in Charleston and was a former member of the South Carolina Army National Guard. Bill was a former timber logger and was a heavy equipment insurance salesman for Swamp Fox Insurance. He was a member of the Cottageville United Methodist Church and the Round Lodge #270 in Cottageville. Truly devoted to his family, Bill possessed a giving heart that enabled him to appreciate life and live it to the fullest each and every day. He enjoyed Shagging and all types of music, and just being around people. Bill was an avid fan of Atlanta Braves baseball and Dale Earnhardt, Jr. In addition to his wife Patricia and his mother Frankie Craig of Cottageville, he is survived by two sons, Justin Hoff of Kingstree and Tyson Hoff, and his wife Katie, of Summerville. There is one brother, Mike Hoff and his wife Julie of Cottageville, and four grandchildren, Ann McLeod Hoff, Andrew Rogers Hoff, Maddie Herndon, and Emma Kate Hoff. Bill also leaves behind a special nephew, Michael Hoff as well as his two beloved cats Amos and Andy. He was preceded in death by his father. Funeral services will be held Friday afternoon at 2:00 in the Cottageville United Methodist Church, with burial following in the Cottageville Cemetery. The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the cemetery and memorials may be made to the church.
