Betty Barton SUMMERVILLE - Betty White Barton passed away on Wednesday, July 10, 2024. She was born May 17, 1941 in Panama City, FL, the daughter of Ottway James and Minnie Esther White, the mother of Bernard Barton, Jr., and Sandra Barton Dugan. She loved her family and church family. Betty always cared for others and was a benevolent as anyone. She loved helping others. Betty was a legal secretary and homemaker. God first, family second, friends, and Church family. Betty was married to Bernard "Bud" Barton for 64 years. She will be missed by her family and friends, and she leaves a big void for all who knew her. Betty was a member of Old Fort Baptist Church. She sang in the choir and served the Church for many years. Betty leaves behind her loving husband of 64 years, Bernard "Bud" Barton; children: Bernard Barton, Jr. (Angela) and Sandra Dugan (Caldwell); grandchildren: Zachary Schible (Laura), Austin Schible, Caldwell Dugan III, Victoria Tupper (Caleb) and Rebekah Dugan; great-grandchildren: Selah Schible, Elliana Schible, Nathaniel Schible and Cassandra Tupper. A Visitation of family and friends will be held Saturday, July 13, 2024 from 11:00am to 12:00pm at James A. Dyal Funeral Home, 303 South Main Street, Summerville, SC 29483. The Funeral Service will begin at 12:00pm in the chapel. Burial will immediately follow at Dorchester Memory Gardens, 11000 Dorchester Road, Summerville, SC 29485. ARRANGEMENTS BY JAMES A.
