Bernice Boynton Obituary

Bernice Rose Boynton BEAUFORT, NC - Bernice Rose "Bea" Boynton, 80, of Beaufort, NC, died Sunday, May 16, 2010, at Carteret General Hospital in Morehead City, NC after a brief illness. The family will conduct a Memorial Service at St. Egberts Catholic Church on June 5, 2010, at 11:00 am with Father Doug Smiley officiating. She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Albert F. "Pete" Boynton of the home; four daughters, Dr. Janet Moye and husband Howard of Greenville, NC, Lynn Boynton of Washington, DC, Elizabeth Boynton Holt of Charleston, SC, and Jennifer Taylor and husband Bobby of Herndon, VA; three sons, Fred Boynton and wife Tami of Satellite Beach, FL, Marty Boynton and wife Meri of Charleston, SC, and Tim Boynton of Morehead City, NC; fourteen grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren. Also surviving are sisters Barbara Cassidy of Florida; Martha Roy of Pennsylvania and sisters-in-law, Sally Shedlock of Pennsylvania and Peg Sicilian of Connecticut; also Marilyn Powers, her especially devoted niece and many other nieces and nephews. Mrs. Boynton worked as a bank loan office assistant before retiring in 1989. She then began her second career as a WalMart Associate, retiring in 2005. She was a member of St. Egberts Church and Ladies Guild. The family will receive friends following the service at her home. Memorials may be made to St. Judes Children's Research Hospital, PO Box 50, Memphis, TN 38101. I miss you more everyday but know that you are in the most perfect place and no longer sick. I will take good care of Dad and try not to be sad. I have been so blessed to have had you as my mother for 47 years. Until I see you again . . . .
