Benjamin Cook Obituary

COOK, Benjamin VANCE - Benjamin Paul Cook, 20, of Vance, died Friday, April 24, 2009 in a Charleston hospital from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. Funeral services will be 5 p.m. Sunday at AVINGER FUNERAL HOME CHAPEL with Rev. Tim Sanders officiating. Burial will be private. Ben was the son of Ronald Haselden and Loretta Toms Haselden. A graduate of Willou Gray Academy in Columbia, he was an Army veteran, and a member of the Fellowship of Praise in Santee. Surviving are his parents of Vance; a sister, Katie Masters of Goose Creek; a brother, Robert Masters of Americus, Ga.; and nieces, Lia and Addyson Robinson of Goose Creek. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. I don't know if there is anything I can do for you but I wanted to offer my sympathy. I ran to help Ben the night this happened and I can't get him or this girl out of my thoughts. Please know that I am so sorry for your loss and if there is anything I can do to help your family please feel free to contact me. 345-4887

Mrs Loretta,

Ben was a friend of mine since we were in elementary school we had so many good times together and I will never forget them. My heart goes out to you at this time and in the days ahead. I loved Ben just like he was my brother and he will always be in my heart and sadly missed. I will pray for you and your family durning this time.
