Ben Lewis "BL" Headden Macedonia, SC - Ben Lewis "BL" Headden, 69, of Macedonia, SC, a retired right away crew bucket truck operator for the Berkeley Electric Cooperative, died Wednesday morning in a Charleston hospital. His funeral will be 2:00 PM Sunday afternoon, December 9, 2018, in the CHAPEL OF DIAL-MURRAY FUNERAL HOME, MONCKS CORNER. Interment will follow in Berkeley Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM Saturday. Mr. Headden was born July 14, 1949, in Moncks Corner, SC, a son of Robert Lee Headden and Anna Lee Mitchell Headden. He attended Mt. Calvary Pentecostal Holiness Church, and was a former member of the singing group "Commitment". Mr. Headden enjoyed playing music on all instruments, but loved the bass best of all. He enjoyed old time "classic" cars and trucks, traveling to the Great Smokey Mountains, fishing, and spending time with his grandchildren. Mr. Headden was preceded in death by two sisters, Ola Mae Litchfield and Shirley Tisdale; and three brothers, L.E. Headden, John Headden, and Dalco Headden. Surviving are his wife, Deborah L. Martin Headden; five daughters, D. Melissa H. Bell and her husband, Phil, Wendy H. Fisk, and Melody Britt and her husband, Donald, all of Macedonia, Mollie Mills and her husband, Richie, of Bonneau, and April Mack and her husband, Cliff, of West Columbia; four sisters, Gladys Sweatman and Nell O'Connor both of Macedonia, and Jennybell Peagler and JoAnne Mullinax both of Moncks Corner; and five grandchildren, Alexandria Britt, Benjamin Britt, Meghan Mills, Emily Mitchum, and Nicholas Mitchum.
