Beatrice Caroline Strang Marks Mt. Pleasant - Beatrice Caroline Marks, 96, of Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, died Saturday, June 10, 2017. A Celebration of Life Service will be held in J. HENRY STUHR, INC., MOUNT PLEASANT CHAPEL, 1494 Mathis Ferry Road on Sunday, July 16, 2017 at 3:00 p.m. Burial will be private. The family will receive friends in the Chapel from 2:00 p.m. until time of the service. Beatrice was born October 29, 1920 in Long Island, New York, daughter of the late Howard Strang and Frieda Faust Strang. She was a business woman who owned and managed restaurants and was a former president of the Michigan Restaurant Association. She served in her church and was community minded, being a founder of the AARP Chapter in Mount Pleasant and very busy with the South Carolina Silver Haired Legislature. Most importantly, she enjoyed her family and those memories were the best. She is survived by two daughters, Dr. Rebecca Markwald of Summerville, SC and Yvonne Holliday of Covina, CA; son, Rev. Terry Marks of Gowen, MI; and eight grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Edward Marks, and son, Roger Marks. Donations in memory of our mother, Beatrice C.
