Barbara S. Kendall SUMMERVILLE - On Saturday, June 1, 2024 Barbara S. Kendall, 90, of Summerville, South Carolina, was welcomed back into the arms of her late husband, Rev. James W. Kendall, Sr., to begin their eternal life together. A Graveside service will be held on Wednesday, June 5, 2024, at Dorchester Memory Gardens at 2:00 pm. Arrangements by J. Henry Stuhr, Inc. Northwoods Chapel. Barbara was born March 6, 1934, in Augusta, Georgia, daughter of the late Floyd H Stapleton Sr. and the late Ruth Sizemore Stapelton. Barbara was the glue that held this family together. Barbara loved spending time with her grandchildren. She had a musical background, playing the piano and singing in the choir. She is survived by daughter, Lynne K. Harley (Michael) of Summerville, SC; son, James W. Kendall Jr. (Cheryl) of Lilburn, GA; grandchildren: Ryan Gadd, Roxanne Rose, Miles Kendall (Ashley), Kristin Harley; great-grandchildren: Ian, Kayla, and Alyssa Gadd, Isabella Morrison, Addison Rose, Penelope and Everly Kendall, Mackenzie, and Lylah Lane; brother, Floyd H. Stapleton, Jr. of Grand Rapids, MI; and many loved nieces and nephews. Memorials may be made to Sue Knight Sunday School Class at Bethany United Methodist Church.
