Barbara Digangi SUMMERVILLE - Barbara Digangi passed away on Sunday, August 25, 2024. She was born in Mount Airy, NC, daughter of the late James Allen Smith and Lillie Mae Smith. Barbara enjoyed many things in life including gardening, tennis, crafting, and caring for her long line of dachshunds. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren (those who called her "Nana"). She was the Matriarch of her family and will be greatly missed. Family and friends are invited to a memorial service on Saturday, September 7, 2024, at 2:00pm at James A. Dyal Funeral Home, 303 South Main Street, Summerville, SC 29483. She is survived by her loving husband, Thomas V. Digangi; children: Charles Sauerwald (Jen), Thomas Sauerwald (Lynda), Ann Tremel (Joe), Mark Sauerwald (Cheri), James Sauerwald, and Nickolas Digangi (Erin); grandchildren: James, Ashley, Kara, Maegan, Lauren, Timothy, Brian, Michael, Eros, Peyton and Riley; and many great- grandchildren that she loved and adored; sister, Kathryn Thompson and brother, William Brown.
