Ann Blalock Obituary

Ann Reeves Blalock CHARLESTON - Ann Reeves Blalock, 93, of Charleston, SC, and wife of the late William Monroe Blalock, Sr., entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, February 21, 2024. Her Graveside Service will be held Monday, February 26, 2024, in Live Oak Memorial Gardens, at 11:00 am. Arrangements by J. Henry Stuhr, Inc., West Ashley Chapel. Ann was born November 19, 1930, in Savannah, GA, a daughter of the late Calip Mellichamp Reeves and Eralake Ford Reeves. She was a member of Rutledge Avenue Baptist Church for 76 years and later was a member of Pinecrest Baptist Church. Ann was a faithful volunteer and loved teaching Sunday School and GA's. After graduation from Winthrop University, Ann taught elementary school in GA, VA, and SC. She was the former Kindergarten Director at Holy Comforter Lutheran Church. Ann will be remembered for how she loved her family, the beach, and her famous fried chicken and lacy cornbread. She is survived by her son, William M Blalock, Jr. (Dana), of Hollywood, SC; her daughter, Sue Ann Blalock Decker (James), of Charleston, SC; her grandchildren, James Decker (Laila), William Decker, and Logan Blalock.
