Andrea Gourdine Obituary

Andrea Gourdine Charleston - Andrea Theora Benzina Gourdine, affectionately known as "TT", 75, of Charleston, SC, widow of Priestley Marion Gourdine, Sr., passed away peacefully at Medical University Hospital on February 16, 2022. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral service on Thursday, February 24, 2022, at 11:00am at Dickerson Mortuary Chapel, 4700 Rivers Avenue, North Charleston. Viewing will be from 10:00 until the service begins. Andrea was born on March 4, 1946, to the late Althea Lennen and Benjamin Singleton. She graduated from Burke High School in 1964, attended Claflin College and the College of Charleston. She worked at Bishop Gadsden Episcopal Retirement Center. In addition to being an avid reader, she was a fan of computer games and word puzzles. TT loved cooking and baking. She discovered a love of travel and cruised as often as she could. Surviving are her four children, Angeletta, Priestley, Jr., Altovise, and Berneta; her grandchildren, Travisier, Prieonna, Ta'Querra, Vashti, Derrick, Amontre, and Jaiden; four great-grandchildren; her sisters, Doris White (Leroy), Thelma Gaillard (Charles, deceased), Bernadette Johnson Nelson (Charles), Althea Seabrook (Ronald), Vicky Jamison, Lavakia Lennen, Audrey Singleton, and Shauna Singleton; her brothers, Karl Singleton, Ervin Gourdine, and Darryl Singleton; her devoted aunts and uncles, brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends, especially Lorenzo Tolbert. She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, and her brothers, Lemuel Lennen, William Lennen, and Jerome Singleton. Condolences may be sent to the family at dickersonmortuary.net.
