A kind, warm, wonderful man.
I am very saddened to know of his passing.
May he rest in peace, his memory is alive and well in my mind

Alston Badger oversaw a case that I was a part of when I was very young. I contacted him many years later to discuss it with him. He was patient, empathic, and sincere. His kind words helped me bring closure to a very dark period of my life. May he rest in peace. It is very apparent that he had a heart for the people he served. I'm so very sorry for your loss.

We are so very saddened to hear the news of Alston's passing. He was Doug's mock trial partner and soccer teammate in law school--talented in both, as well as a lovely young man. I remember his apartment and a framed picture of him with his sisters laughing and trying to stay balanced in a pyramid. We have nothing but very fond memories of Alston and are thankful we had the privilege of knowing this fine man. Our prayers of comfort are with you during this very difficult transition.

Dear Mrs. Badger, I knew Alston at the CofC when he played soccer. I used to play volleyball and basketball at the College and I remember that all the sports were closely knit groups of people who supported each other immensely. We always went out and cheered for Alston and the rest of the soccer team and he showed up to watch us play as well. I was thrilled when he gave the speech during my Hall of Fame Induction into the CofC Athletic Hall of Fame. It felt like old times again! I am SO sorry for your loss. Mere words cannot assuage the grief and sorrow you and your family are going through right now, but, know that all of us who knew and admired Alston are here to support you during this time. We will miss him.

Please accept my deepest sympathies in this time of grief. I was law school classmate of Alston and remember him to be an all-around great guy- someone who was genuine, friendly, helpful and honest. Although I haven't seen him since the Solicitor conferences, I was very saddened to hear of his loss. His family will be in my prayers.

Dear Mrs. Badger, My husband Mitch Lanier and Alston were colleagus and fishing buddies here in Berkeley County. My son James went along with them on fishing trips and has many wonderful memories of those trips with his Dad and Alston. We lost Mitch in December, and I know how hard it is for you and your family. I knew Alston too, and appreciated his humor and professionalisim and how much my husband liked him and looked forward to seeing him, from the courts of Berkeley County all the way to Federal Court. Alston was respected and will be missed.

Alston was a man of great integrity with a great soul. I only remember him in a fond light. I respect him for his accomplishments in life and all the hard work he has done on behalf on our city, state, and country. He was unique in that he could always crack a smile or have a kind word for you, even on a tough day. He loved his friends and family so much. I hope the boys realize how much he loved them. He was a great man to be proud of, who simply went too soon. He was a hard fighter in life and accomplished so much.
