NESMITH, SR., Alonzo The relatives and friends of Mr. Alonzo William Nesmith, Sr., those of his wife, Mrs. Joyce Maybin Nesmith; children, Ms. Linda Kaye Nesmith of Houston, TX, Mr. Alonzo William Nesmith, Jr., Dr. Deborah Deas, Mr. Larry Van Nesmith (Valerie) and Jadonn Smith, all of Charleston, SC, Mr. Kevin Lamonte Nesmith (RaFaye) of Dallas, TX, Mrs. Chalena D. McIlwain (Roddy) of San Francisco, CA; sister, Ms. Deloris Scott; brothers, Messrs. William B. Nesmith, Willie J. Nesmith; uncles, Messrs. Lonnie Ware and James Skillman; grandchildren, great granddaughter, special friend, Mrs. Bankhead, nieces, nephews and a host of cousins are invited to attend his funeral service on Saturday, October 25, 2008, 11:00 a.m. at Trinity AME Church, 677 Meeting Street, Charleston, SC. Friends may call FIELDING HOME FOR FUNERALS, 722-3348 or 1-800-290-5954. Remains to church 6:00 p.m. Friday where the family will be receiving friends from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. Remains to the church 10:00 a.m. Saturday. Interment, Friendship UMC Cemetery, Nesmith, SC. Just wanted to let you know you are in our prayers. Mr. Nesmith has touch the lives of many people at Hallmark,and he will deeply be missed. I can still hear him singing his favorite hymn "Amazing Grace" and he could carry a tune. I remember one resident was crying after he sang she even recorded him on her phone. It was just an blessing to be able to meet him. Stay strong and please stop by and visit.
