Alice M. Lee CROSS, SC - Alice Faye Mitchener Lee, 69, of Cross, SC, widow of Douglas Montgomery Lee, died Wednesday morning at her residence. Her funeral will be 11:00 AM Saturday morning, August 31, 2013 in the CHAPEL OF DIAL-MURRAY FUNERAL HOME, MONCKS CORNER. Interment will follow in Whispering Pines Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 10:00 AM until the hour of service on Saturday. Mrs. Lee was born January 30, 1944, in Raleigh, NC, a daughter of John A. Mitchener and Effie Wrenn Mitchener. She was of the Baha'i Faith and previously served as chairman for the local Spiritual Assemby of Cross, SC. Mrs. Lee loved praying for mankind, listening to Elvis, and singing. But most of all, she loved listening to her daughter, Barbara, sing. Her greatest love was that of taking care of her family and leading a simple life. Surviving are, two daughters, Eva Jean Lee, of Summerville, and Barbara Rose Lee Giron-Leon, of Cross; two sons, Mark Lamont Lee of Ridgeville, and Antony Nabil Lee of Cross; a sister, Doris Postell of Zebulon, NC; two brothers, Bill Mitchener and Johnny Mitchener, both of Zebulon, NC; three grandchildren, Violet Tereza Gonzalez, Jose' Angel Giron-Leon, Jr., and Patrick Antonio Gonzalez; and one great grandchild, Lilyana Zuri Gonzalez.
