Alice Faye Demery Lance Summerville - Alice Faye Demery Lance, 84, of Summerville, SC, entered into eternal rest Saturday, January 1, 2022. Family and friends are invited to attend her visitation on Wednesday, January 5, 2022 from 6 o'clock to 8 o'clock at James A. Dyal Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, January 6, 2022 at 11 o'clock at James A. Dyal Funeral Home Chapel. Entombment will follow at Dorchester Memory Gardens Mausoleum, 11000 Dorchester Rd., Summerville, SC 29485. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to The American Heart Association at www.heart.org. Alice Faye was born March 19, 1937 in Pembroke, NC, daughter of the late Walter F. Demery and late Moncell Cummings. She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Robert F. Lance, Jr. Her four children Robert F. Lance III of Westerville, OH; Charles W. Lance of Summerville, SC; Kenneth W. Lance (Jennifer) of Givhans, SC; and Alice Denise Lance LeCroy of Summerville, SC. There are twelve grandchildren: Melinda Lance Pottorf, Courtney Lance Huskey, Brian Lance, Nikki Lance, Chelsea Lance Rhea, Michael Lance, Michelle Lance Harder, Alice Helene Lance, Dustin Baker, Cody Baker, Dana LeCroy, Deidre LeCroy, Rebecca LeCroy and Rachael LeCroy. There are 9 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sisters, Loretta Attebery and Lynnette Hodges. Brothers Harold Demery, Ricky Morrison, and the late Ronnie Demery.
