This past week and the coming months have been and will continue to be extremely hard. The nearness of family, friends and solacers buffet those waves of grief. It has for me and I thank you.

His legacy lives on through and in us. All of us are uniquely and indelibly touched by his life as a humanitarian, counselor, gentleman of great refinement and now a crowning ancestor. Peace be upon him.

May we strive to fulfill the mandates that he sat before each of us. By doing so, we enrich everyone and the world around us. Ashé.

The After

On May 30, 1942, a boy baby was born to Rebecca and Gabe. They named him Alfred.

After life's journey began with all that it had to offer Alfred, he decided to take the journey with God. After all, what better life can one give to God.

Now he must leave us with, I gave my all and all to God and man. Now, I can get my reward. The After.

My thoughts and prayers are with the Jefferson family in time of bereavement. It has been a pleasure and honor to have known Bishop Jefferson and served under his leadership. There is a saying he would always say that was a seed planted in my spirit, "Know Who You Are and Whose You Are"! Take you rest Bishop Jefferson. Well Done Thy Good and Faithful Servant!!

We are very heart broken to hear about the passing of Bishop Alfred Jefferson. He was a wonderful and kind person. He was like our second father. He truly will be miss not only in Church but in the Community.
