Willie Floyd Obituary
AIKEN - Mr. Willie Edward Floyd, 59, of 1015 Morgan St, entered into rest January 16, 2021. Graveside service will be 1pm Friday, January 22, 2021 at the Four Mile Baptist Church, New Ellenton with Rev. Christopher Holley officiating. Viewing will be Thursday at the church from 3pm-6pm. Masks and social distancing will be observed.
Survivors include two daughters, Sarita Green, Aiken & Chelsea Floyd, Murfreesboro, TN; three sons, Terrell Floyd, Birmingham, AL, Brandon Jones, Augusta, GA, and Pierce Floyd, Aiken; a mother, Doretha Floyd, Aiken; two sisters, Joyce (Randy) Cartledge, North Augusta & Anita (James) Elmore, Beech Island; three brothers, Joe Nathan (Patricia) Floyd, Brad Floyd, & Christopher Floyd all of Aiken; 2 Grandchildren; and a host of other relatives.

What a surprise it was to hear of Willie passing. It's true god only takes the best. WILLIE was a close friend of mine and he will always be REMEMBERED. He's really gonna be MISSED by many. Take your rest Brother FLOYD we will meet again when God calls

I first met and worked with Willie 35 years ago when we both were on shift together at Wackenhut at SRS. We worked hard and played even harder back in the day. I’ve enjoyed working and fishing with him. May God grant his family the peace, comfort, and strength going forward during this most difficult time. Rest in Perfect Peace.

Willie was special to me. Completely different in many ways but similar also. He helped me clear land, demolish structures and helped me build my 1st garden. I will miss sitting on his front porch talking about lack of rain, a cold snap or cars. I would sometimes give him a hard time when I saw his mom picking okra and he was sitting on the porch ! I got to know his brothers Brad and Chris and admired how they worked and played together. I miss you Willie. Glenn
