William Rorex Obituary
AIKEN, SC - William Leroy Rorex, age 75, son of Eleanor H. Rorex and the late Edward C. Rorex, died Thursday, January 12, 2017 at Aiken Regional. Memorial services will be held Saturday, February 18 at 2:30 p.m. in the chapel of St. John's Methodist Church, with the Rev. Nancy Reed officiating. Burial at Southlawn will be private.
Mr. Rorex was born April 8, 1941 in Mt. Vernon, Ill. He came to Aiken in 1952 with his family. He graduated from Aiken High School, Class of '59 and held a Masters degree in business. He worked at the Savannah River Site before moving to California where he worked for National Semi-Conductor. He held many jobs through his career that took him from coast to coast.
Survivors include his three daughters, Jennifer Trimmer, Dallas, Texas, Janie Cronin (Steve), Mesa, Arizona, Jeanne McGuire, Bedford, Texas. Two sisters, Judy Russell and Sandra Gerland, both of Aiken. One brother, Jim (Donna) of Lancaster, California. One niece, two nephews, and several grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. John's Methodist Church, 104 Newberry St. NW, Aiken, SC 29803 or the charity of your choice.
