Stephen Ferlita Obituary
Aiken - Mr. Stephen "Steve" Anthony Ferlita, Jr., 89, entered into rest Wednesday, December 2, 2020
Visitation will be from 2:00 to 3:00 pm on Sunday January 24, 2021 at Grace Covenant Church of God in New Ellenton. A Celebration of Life service will follow at 3 pm with military honors.
Mr. Steve was married to the late Flora Lee Ferlita. He is the father of Debbie (Jeffery) Holland, Angela (Chuck) Norman, Maria (Danny) Graves, Linda (Bernie) Heyward, Gina (Noel) Simmons, and the late Victoria "Vickie" Gore. He is preceded in death by his first wife and the mother of his six daughters, Mary Joy Patterson. Mr. Steve is the stepfather of Pamela "Pam" McDaniel and the late David Kappeler and his wife Kate Kappeler. He is the son of the late Dr. Stephen Anthony Ferlita and the late Josephine Cerniglia Ferlita, and the brother of the late Marianna R. Fava-Peyton. Mr. Steve is the grandfather of 25 and the great grandfather of 27.
Mr. Steve is a Veteran of the United States Army. He is a member of Grace Covenant Church of God. He retired from a life-long career at Metropolitan Life Insurance Company. Mr. Steve had a passion for displaying the love of Jesus. He was a prayer warrior and had a nursing home ministry as well. He was a member of The Full Gospel Businessmen Association and was an active member of March for Jesus. Mr. Steve spent his life sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ and serving the Lord.
