Robert Riddick Obituary
Lexington - Robert "Bob" G. Riddick was born March 5, 1957 in Aiken, SC and passed away on Friday, January 22, 2021. He was a son of Joyce Rhodes and Walter Riddick.
Besides Bob's family, his lifelong passion was digging for antique bottles, clay pottery and relics in antebellum privies and trash dumps. He was instrumental in staging the annual SC Bottle Show.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by an infant son, Robert Gatlin Riddick Jr.
Mr. Riddick is survived by his wife, Cheryl Riddick; son, Adam Riddick; granddaughter, Eliza Riddick; brothers, Walter (Roseanne) Riddick Jr. and Allen (Stacy) Riddick.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to SC Bottle Club, c/o Eric Warren, 238 Farmdale Dr., Lexington, SC 29073 or to the Aiken County Historical Society, Box 1775, Aiken, SC 29802.
Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, January 30, 2021 at Lexington Baptist Church. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. The service may be viewed via livestreaming on Caughman-Harman Funeral Home, Lexington Chapel's Facebook page.

Cheryl Tish and I are so sorry to hear of Bob's passing. I've been following him on FB and praying for him. But, I've in Aiken caring for my Mom and was overcome by events. The Hudson boys grew up with the Riddick boys in the same neighborhood. We are praying for you and yours. May God Grant You the Peace that Passeth All Understanding.

I knew Bob through work at the Savannah River Site and USC Archaeology Dept.Bob was salt of the earth and he DID enjoy history and old artifacts.It was a blessing to have known him.I wish peace and strength for his family.I will forever keep Bob in my mind when I am searching the ground for a find.Thanks for your time Bob,rest in peace my friend.
