Robert Joseph Meyer, Sr.
AIKEN, SC - A celebration of life service for Mr. Robert Joseph Meyer, Sr., age 52, will be held at 3 p.m. on Saturday January 30, 2016, at Central Baptist Church with Rev. Floyd Hutto and Chaplain Rick Boland officiating. Interment will be private.
Mr. Meyer entered into rest Sunday, January 24, 2016, at his residence. He was a native of Woodbury, New Jersey, and had made Aiken County his home for the past 37 years. He was the son of Mrs. Virginia Speakman Meyer (Randy Kissiah) Brown, Aiken, and the late Mr. Charles H. Meyer, Sr. He was employed by Quality Service Inc., Petersburg, Virginia, as an industrial welder. He was also a formerly employed with Metal Specialist of Augusta for 30 years as a master welder and was also a veteran of the United States Army National Guard as a combat engineer stationed in Graniteville. Mr. Meyer attended Central Baptist Church. Robert was a devoted son, a loving father and Uncle, and a friend, that will be missed by all that knew him.
Additional survivors include his fiance; Susan L. Sebag, Aiken; two sons, Robert Joseph (fiance; Nicole Seigler) Meyer, Jr., Aiken, Brandon Lee Meyer, Sr., Aiken; one brother, Charles H. (Gale) Meyer, Jr., Jackson; one sister, Donna Jean (Tito) Cook, Aiken; four grandchildren, Zachary Meyer, Hazel Grace Meyer, Brianna Lee Meyer, and Brandon Lee Meyer, Jr; one niece, Jessica (fiance; Chris Knight) Weatherill, New Ellenton; and three nephews, Ryan Weatherill, Swedesboro, New Jersey, Charles H. Meyer III, Jackson, and Harley David Meyer, Parris Island. Mr. Meyer was predeceased by one grandchild, Robert Lee Meyer.
The family would like to express a gratitude of thanks to Halcyon Hospice for the care that was given to Robert during his illness.
