Richard Maddox Obituary

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the unexpected passing of Richard Ryan "Red" Maddox, a beloved father, grandfather, and friend. Red entered into eternal rest on Sunday, December 28th, 2025, at the age of 53.
He was born on November 9th, 1972, in Port Hueneme, California to David Maddox and the late Johnnie Hapner.
In addition to his mother, Johnnie, Red was preceded in death by his brother Michael Maddox.
Left to cherish his memory along with his father David F. Maddox, is Red's wife of 31 years, Mrs. Pamela Poole and their son David "Ryan" Maddox and his wife Hayley; grandchildren Lillian and Sophia Maddox; siblings Scott Maddox and Dana Barbour; Aunt Julie and Uncle Bryan Hapner; nieces and nephews Justin Maddox, Trevor Maddox, Katie Bell Barbour, Raiden Maddox, Everett Maddox and Ben Norman.
Richard was a dedicated and hardworking individual, spending the last seven years as a Union Sheet Metal Worker with Local #85. In his free time he enjoyed watching the Tennessee Volunteers play football.
Known for his strong will and charismatic nature, Red never met a stranger and was always willing to lend a helping hand to those in need. He was a loving father and a cherished "Pawpaw" to his grandchildren. Red's family was the center of his world, and he took immense pride in being a good father and grandfather.
His stubborn yet caring nature made him a truly unforgettable person. His family and friends will truly miss him!
At this time, the family is planning a Celebration of Life Service which will be updated when finalized.

He was a great friend and coworker definitely never met a stranger. My first time meeting him I was in the lift and I was getting aggravated with what I was working with and he called my name and i looked down and he said your doing it wrong and laughed at me. Definitely a great guy and prayers to the family.
