Peggy Matthews Obituary
BELVEDERE, SC - Mrs. Peggy Matthews, wife of the late Edward Moses Matthews, of Hillside Place, entered into rest on January 10, 2015 at her residence.
Her funeral service were held at 3:30 PM on Tuesday, January 13, 2015 in the Rowland Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. John M. Newell, III officiating. Interment followed at Pineview Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Matthews was a member of Belvedere United Methodist Church.
She is survived by her son, Eddie Matthews (Chris); two daughters, Donna Lester (Howard) and Marie Yates (Craig) of Erie, PA; a sister, Brenda Humphries of Shelby, NC; nine grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.
Pallbearers were her grandsons.
The family received friends on Monday, January 12, 2015 from 6 until 8 PM at the funeral home.

What an wonderful woman! She babysat me as a child and I can still remember being at her house in the kitchen with a cake decorating place mat and she would let me "practice". What sweet memories of such a sweet woman! Rest in peace. Heaven has received one sweet angel!

Donna & family: Just know you are in my thoughts & prayers. Your mom was a wonderful woman w/ a heart of gold & she treated Ashleigh & the other children she cared for as if they were her own grandchildren. She was always there when you needed her. She will be deeply missed by all.
