Patricia Trezza Obituary

Patricia Trezza
MODOC, S.C. - Patricia Trezza, age 68, passed away unexpectedly and tragically on June 30, 2023. Patty was a loving and thoughtful individual, known for her kindness and dedication to her family. Despite medical disabilities that affected her mobility, Patty's greatest strengths resided in her love for her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Patty was born in Montclair, NJ on September 23, 1954. She grew up in Wayne, NJ. She attended Wayne Hills High School, graduating in 1972. She furthered her education at the Katharine Gibbs School, earning an associate's degree in administrative support.
In her career, Patty held various positions that showcased her versatility and dedication. She started as an Executive Secretary at Revlon Corp. in Edison, NJ, from 1974 to 1976. She then transitioned to become an Operating Room Technician in Morgantown, WV, from 1976 to 1979. While adapting to having our children and a move to SC, Patty became a licensed cosmetologist in Aiken, SC, from 1979 to 1981. An auto accident contributed to disabilities soon after.
Outside of her professional life, Patty held a deep love for animals and often expressed her desire to become a nurse or veterinarian. She found solace and joy in caring for all creatures.
Patricia leaves behind her beloved husband, William (Bill) Trezza, whom she married after growing up as neighbors. She is also survived by her son, Jason Trezza of Cabot, AR, and her daughter, Amy Marshall of Marietta, GA. Patty's father, Lee Warren Skidmore of Stuart, FL, also mourns her loss. Her nephew, David Demback of Miltown, NJ was close with her. She was preceded in death by her mother, Ann Lee Skidmore, and her sister, Bonnie Jean (Skidmore) Demback. Patty will be fondly remembered by her many loving grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and a few very close friends.
A memorial celebration of Patty's life will be held in the future near her father's home in Stuart, Florida. Details of the service will be announced at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that contributions in Patty's memory be made to any local access Food Pantry. This gesture will honor her spirit of kindness and generosity.
Please join the family in celebrating Patricia's life and cherishing the memories she leaves behind.

Growing up across the street from the Skidmores & Trezzas in Wayne, NJ. I was great friends of Bonnie Skidmore & MaryEllen Trezza. We spent countless hours in each other´s homes. I remember Patty as the pretty & kind older sister who we looked up to and who literally married the wonderful boy next door. I am sad to hear of her passing & I send my condolences to her family, especially her Dad and Bill whom I knew so long ago.

Patty was my sister-in-law. She was a kind, gentle & beautiful woman. I´m so grateful that I was blessed to have her become my sister & a member of our family. Patty never knew how much I admired her as a mother and how her example of motherhood had an impact on me when I was a young mother & still to this day. I watched she & Bill raise my neice & nephew and always admired how she openly expressed her love to them. It was beautiful to watch & I knew that I wanted my child to be raised with the same open expression of love in his life. She will be forever in my heart. Peace , love & light to you sister. Love & prayers to Billy, Jason, Amy & all the grandchildren.

My friendship with Patty, over 32 years, was wonderful. She was a good listener, and gave good, gentle advice. She was smart and funny! I loved her giggle-laugh. She cared for and loved many small animals over the years. Dogs, cats, and even a ferret. But her world was Bill, Amy, Jason, and the grandchildren! You all were loved by a most special person. I am so glad to have known and loved Patty as a sweet friend. We send our deepest sympathy to Patty's father, nephew David, Bill, Jason, Amy, and the entire family. Rest in peace Dear Friend. You were a shining Star!
