Mirian Davignon Obituary

North Augusta, SC – Visitation for Mirian Briggs Davignon, 76, who entered into rest January 9, 2026, will be held at the funeral home Friday evening from 5 until 7.

Mirian, affectionately known as "Lolly" by her beloved granddaughter, never met a stranger and had the ability to make friends with everyone she encountered. She wholeheartedly loved her husband, son, daughter-in-law, granddaughter, and family and friends; cherishing every moment spent together. Her warmth, generosity, curiosity, and zest for life touched everyone who knew her.

Born November 19, 1949, in Augusta, GA to the late William and Lina Briggs, Mirian worked as a schoolteacher for over 15 years with Aiken County Public Schools. She loved the beach and would walk miles in the sand, always finding joy in the sun and waves. Her outgoing spirit meant she was always ready for an adventure or new experience with her friends, whether deliberately planned or completely accidental was all part of the fun.

Whether baking cookies and pound cake, making crafts out of seashells, or diving into home improvement projects, Mirian had a knack for turning her ideas into reality. She saw the world through a creative lens that many others don't, always finding beauty and possibility in every day. She delighted in bringing everyone together, especially around Christmas, creating joyful memories and traditions that will be cherished forever.

Survivors include her husband of 50 years, Joseph M. Davignon, III; son, Joseph "Josh" M. Davignon, IV (Suzanne); and granddaughter, Lyna Kathryn.
