Lucious Edward Morris
NORTH AUGUSTA, SC - Lucious Edward Morris, 59, entered into rest on April 2, 2016. Eddie passed away peacefully at NHC Healthcare in North Augusta. Eddie was born and raised in Aiken, South Carolina, where he lived all his life. He graduated from Aiken High School in 1974, and he received his Associates Degree in Business from Aiken Technical College. Eddie was a proud employee of BAE Systems of Aiken from 1983 to 2009.
Eddie was the oldest child born to the late Sammie Edward Morris and Ollie (Rudolph) Doolittle. He married the love of his life, Evelyn Walters Morris, on February 29, 1992, and they remained devoted to each other for 24 blessed years. Eddie will be remembered by his dedicated brother Richard (Linda Smith) Morris, loyal sister Becky (Steve) Garner, dearest daughter Hope Morris, treasured stepchildren Andy (Wendy) Sweeney, and Meghan (Al) Wedereit, and most cherished grandchildren Richard Romano, Angelo Romano, and Alonzo Romano, Erin Wedereit, Kirsten Wedereit, Grace Wedereit, and Cody Sweeney, along with countless other friends and family who have been blessed to know him.
Eddie loved golfing, fishing, driving his John Deere tractor, being with family, spending time with his friends at Shiloh Baptist Church, and sharing stories from his satisfying life. Eddie touched the lives of so many with his genuine humor, concern, and the sharing of his love and belief in the saving Grace of his Lord Jesus Christ. He maintained his trademark friendliness and sincerity until the end.
Family and friends are invited to attend a memorial service at Shiloh Baptist Church of Aiken on Saturday, April 9th at noon officiated by Reverend Taylor Wells. Friends may call on the family one hour before the service.
