Aiken - Mrs. Joyce Franklin Fulmer, 85 years old, went home peacefully to be with her Lord on Wednesday, September 28, 2022.
Mrs. Fulmer was born in Aiken County on July 10, 1937. She was a lifelong resident of Aiken. She was the daughter of Humphrey Danciel Franklin and Pearlie Temples Franklin. Joyce married Onnie C. Fulmer on March 14, 1955. She was employed with the Thermo-Disc Company for several years. Mrs. Fulmer was a long-time active member of Shiloh Baptist Church of Aiken. She loved family outings with her son's (Michael) family and playing cards and games. She enjoyed spending time with her close loving cousins and friends. Joyce was a devoted and loving wife, mother, and grandmother.
Mrs. Fulmer is survived by her son, Michael S. (Caroline) Fulmer of Aiken, and her grandchild, Jeremy Michael of Aiken. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Onnie C. Fulmer, in 2009 and her sister, Elise Franklin Eubanks.
A special heartfelt thank you goes out to the loving caregivers at Hitchcock Place Assisting Living, where Mrs. Joyce Fulmer resided since 2016. Michael Fulmer's family greatly appreciated all the love and care your staff gave Mrs. Joyce! The family would also like to give thanks to South Carolina House Call staff and Agape Hospice care.
A funeral service, celebrating her life, will be held Monday, October 3, 2022, at 12 P.M. at the Chapel of Napier Funeral Home with Rev. Chris Masters to officiate. The burial will follow immediately at Aiken Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be sent, in honor of Mrs. Joyce, to Shiloh Baptist Church, 3925 Shiloh Church Rd., Aiken, SC 29805.
