Aiken, SC - Kenneth M. Fallaw, age 84, passed away peacefully at his home on Saturday, March 21, 2026.
A native of Lancaster, South Carolina, Ken was the beloved son of the late Boyd Everett "Captain Billy" and Marion Gunter Fallaw. He was a proud graduate of the University of South Carolina, where he was an active member of the concert band and the ROTC program. It was during his time at USC that Ken met Launa Corn through the Baptist Student Union. They married while still students and shared 43 years of marriage until her passing in 2006.
Following his college years, Ken honorably served as an officer in the U.S. Air Force for four years, including two years stationed in Turkey. He then embarked on a successful career with DuPont, working in Camden, South Carolina, and later in Delaware. In 1979, he moved to Aiken, where he continued his career until retiring from the Savannah River Site.
Ken held a deep affection for Aiken, often referring to it as "The Garden of Eden." He was actively involved in the community, serving as an actor and also as the director of the Aiken Diabetes Show. He was also a longtime cast member and contributor to the Aiken Women's Heart Show and sang with the Heart Throbs. A Master Gardener, Ken cherished time spent tending to his garden and bird watching. He looked forward to working his crossword puzzles daily. He was a lifelong Gamecock and loved his country. He was well known for his excellent friendship, strong sense of humor, and his memorable deep bass voice often proclaiming with a smile, "Mr. Wonderful, That's Me," upon entering a room.
Ken is survived by his wife of 18 years, Frances Reynolds; three daughters, Sheri Romaine (Stephen) of Greensboro, NC, Nesha Tucker (Alvis) of Simpsonville, SC, and Maribeth Stegmaier (Chris) of Aiken; three step-daughters, Rebekah Robinson of Nashville, TN, Denning Saum (Stuart) of Greenville, SC, and Mary Helen Simons (Paul) of Aiken; grandchildren Bryan Romaine (Christine), Michael Romaine, Travis Chappell, Blake Chappell, Coleman Chappell, Alexander Stegmaier, Mary McKellar Saum, Charlotte Saum, Will Simons, and Ford Simons; as well as great-grandchildren Clarke and Cole Romaine and Brooks Chappell. In addition to his parents, and first wife, Ken was preceded in death by his brother, Rev. Billy Keith Fallaw.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Aiken Women's Heart Board, P.O. Box 5211, Aiken, South Carolina 29804.
