Joe Hutto Obituary

Joe A. Hutto
AIKEN, SC - Joe A. Hutto, age 88, of Aiken, S.C., loving husband for 66 years to Louise Widener Hutto and son of the late Arnold Hutto and the late Irene Hutto, entered into rest on Friday, February 19, 2016.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by daughters, Barbara Schmidt of North Augusta, SC and Sharon Cockrell of Saluda, S.C.; sons, Jerry L. Hutto of Aiken, S.C., Terry B. Hutto of Ridge Spring, S.C., Ricky Hutto of Aiken, S.C. and Barry Hutto of Jackson, Mississippi; brothers, Raymond Hutto of New Ellenton, S.C. and Cecil Hutto of Graniteville, S.C.; twelve grandchildren and eighteen great grandchildren.
He was born in Neeses, S.C. but has been a lifelong resident of Aiken County, S.C. He was a US Army Veteran. He retired from E. I. DuPont Company.
He loved his Lord and Breezy Hill Baptist Church in Graniteville, having missed only about eight services during the last 60 years of his life.
His family stated that he was a good provider, a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend. He shall be greatly missed by his family, friends and all whose lives he touched during his lifetime. Death cannot destroy precious memories, and he shall live on forever in the hearts of his loved ones. He has made that great transition to his new Heavenly home in a land of endless tomorrows, where the soul shall never die and we'll never have to say goodbye.
The family will receive friends at Breezy Hill Baptist Church on Monday, February 22nd from 5:00 to 7:00 PM.
A service, celebrating his life and home going, will be held at the church on Tuesday, February 23, 2016 at 2:00 PM with Rev. Phillip Napier officiating. The interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
His grandchildren will serve as Pallbearers. Honorary Pallbearers will be men of Breezy Hill Baptist Church. Memorials, in his honor, may be made to Camp Breezy Hill Baptist Church, 612 Ascauga Lake Rd., Graniteville, S.C. 29829.
Napier Funeral Home, Inc., 315 Main St. Graniteville, S.C. 29829, is in charge of the funeral arrangements.
