James Thomas Tomac
AIKEN, SC - James Thomas Tomac, 55, entered into rest on Saturday, November 22, 2014 at his residence.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00am on Saturday, November 29, 2014 in the Platt's Funeral Home Belair Rd Chapel with the Rev. Phillip Lee officiating. Burial will follow at Bellevue Memorial Gardens.
James was born in Kansas City, Kansas and later served in the United States Army serving as a police investigator. James worked for the Department of Energy Contractors since 1983, where he was the Deputy Director of Safeguards, Security and Emergency Services at SRNS. James loved to spend time with his children and grandchildren. He also enjoyed skiing, going to the beach, coaching his children in various sports, and was an avid UGA football fan. He was active in Cedar Creek Church in Aiken, SC.
James is survived by two sons; Cody James Tomac and Carson Joshua Tomac both of Aiken and one daughter; Crystal Lee Martin (Jack) of Evans, GA. He is also survived by his brother; Steve Tomac, Lenexa, KS, three sisters; Louise Koenig, Raytown, MO, Marsha Wiseman, Kansas City, MO, and Carol Grimsby, Columbus, SC, three Grandchildren, Jackson Thomas Martin, Mackenzie Lee Martin, and Kaitlyn Martin, along with many nieces and nephews. Mr. Tomac was preceded in death by his parents, John James Tomac and Doris Ann Tomac, and his wife, Teresa Michelle "Missi" Tomac.
The family will receive friends on Friday, November 28, 2014 from the hours of 4:00pm until 8:00pm at the funeral home.
