Jack Holton Obituary
AIKEN - Mr. Jack Roy Holton, 95, passed away Saturday, August 26, 2023.
Jack was born in Soperton, GA, son of the late Glen and Hattie Sammons Holton. He served in the Korean War with the US Navy, and was owner of Holton Marine.
He is survived by his children, Charles (Dr. Holly Broome) Holton, Slidell, LA, Glen; Rick; (Patricia) Holton, Aiken, Donna Holton (Clayton) Meadows, Aiken; son-in-law, Jimmy Hopkins, North Augusta; grandchildren, Jennifer Nicholson, Charles Tony Holton, Glen Holton, II, Kaci Prouty, Kody Meadows, Summer Hopkins, Bridgett Sholette, Scott Bowen, Wesley Broome, and Darce Byrd; 13 great grandchildren; and a sister, Kay Audet, Savannah, GA.
He was preceded in death by his wife of over 68 years, Barbara Ann Bobbie Richardson Holton; his daughter, Cherri Holton Hopkins; and a brother. Loye Bill Holton.
A funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM Tuesday, August 29, 2023, in the Shellhouse Funeral Home chapel with the Reverend Dr. Brad Willis and the Reverend Danny Wilson officiating. Interment with military honors will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers will be his grandsons.
Memorials may be directed to the VFW Post 10601, 250 Hudson Rd., Aiken, SC 29801.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM Monday evening at SHELLHOUSE FUNERAL HOME, INC., 924 HAYNE AVE., AIKEN, SC
