The memories we shared are priceless. The pics of the old Chevy 4x4 I bought from you when I see these Pictures it always reminds of the time we shared not to mention the Poker games.

Jack, funny I am cleaning emails and this popped up from April. 10 years. Rex keeps your picture on his desk and you are thought of always. You are missed Jack...You were and always will be a Hoot!!!!! :)

10 years baby. Damn. I love you. Always. You and Me.

9 years babe. How can that be? You were and you are the best man I’ve ever known.
You wouldn’t believe the craziness we all are living in these days. I laugh when I think of some store clerk telling you to put a mask on. Strange days babe.
I love you. Until my last breath and we finally meet again I carry you with me.

Well babe, 8 years. How can that be? One thing I know for sure is that trying to get you to shelter in place during this strange time would be next to impossible.
We'd be riding. We'd be laughing and loving. We'd be living.
Oh babe, you wouldn't believe everything that has happened since you left us all. It's been a really long and strange 8 years.

I am not sure what prompted me to look for Jack but, after being away from California for over 50 years, i was thinking back on people who touched my life growing up in Castro Valley and Hayward. Jack was certainly one of those people. I used to drive him crazy, and being half his size, risked life and limb! He was always kind hearted and hugely tolerant of my annoying immaturity. We had some truly great times together and he always had my back. I was so disappointed to discover that Jack passed at such a young age. What an enormous loss.

Coming up on three years since you have been gone Jack. This is Goofy Kristine and Rex. We miss you Jack. You were a hoot. You were fun. You were real! Always in our thoughts...Jenny keeps your memory alive in her heart...but you know this :) xoxo Ridge on Jack

Oh Baby. Tomorrow will be one year since you rode off to the smooth and golden streets of Heaven. That is where you are now. In this year I have taken you to Idaho, Tahoe, Carmel, Capitola, the north coast, to Sonora, and to Maui. Your friends have shared you with the Oregon coast. Well Baby, it's our anniversary. On our second date you told me that you were going to marry me. Thank God you did. It was a crazy day, all that mattered were our "I DO's" I would've married you if I only got one day, but I'm grateful for the 72 days we did get. I love you. Love. Always. Love. You and Me.

My Dear Friend Jumbo, As time goes on You are in our thought's more and more everyday. As I read and reread this guest book, I realize you Jumbo where a Man larger than life. Jim always called you on your Birthday Jumbo. This year we couldn't make that call to you, but our home was full of love for you. We miss you Jumbo Jack Granato with all our hearts. Along with so so many other people. Love you my "friend".

Happy Birthday Jack (1/9)13) I think about you very often and relive the amazing-times we all had growing up in Jr. High, High School and as newlyweds and young parents. Commingling our kids on vacations especially at Lake Shasta trips to Reno. Parties at each others homes!!! Hope you are looking down on us now and overseeing all the heartaches of your friends since you have been gone. It's hard now more than before, because you always had my back, as well as soooooo many others.........Miss You. Miss You

It has been an honor to know you for over thirty years. I am glad we were neighbors once upon a time, long ago, so I was able to meet you and your family. It has always been a pleasure to run into you here and there for various reasons. You always had that wonderful smile and seemed truly happy to see me. As of late, it was my husband who ran into you more than I, and he related to me every time he saw you, that you had asked about me and told him to say hi to me. True Jack spirit, you smile, I smile. You leave many great memories for so many people, thank you for being YOU! Fly with the angels and your son, and may you Rest In Peace.

Jack. You will be truely missed. You were always friendly and always had a smile for everyone you met. My Prayers go out to your family..for peace and comfort in the Lord.

Jack, you were a very nice fellow and that's not common today. You followed the golden rule at our sales and always had a smile for the staff. You will be missed by many.

To The "Granato" Family. Jim and I are very sad to hear of Jumbo's passing. So many feelings are rushing through my mind right now. You were always the "Man" anyone could go to for help, no matter where or when. The true meaning of the word Friend. We had alot of great times together. We will always hold you close to our hearts. Jack was a Canyon High School icon and a Castro Valley icon. EVERYBODY knew who Jack Granato was. Joyce cried out and burst into tears when she heard Shelly's message on our answering machine. Joyce and Jack went way back to elementary school together. Yes, he was also a Vannoy Elementary School icon. It would not be surprising if his birth and his passing both registered on the Richter scale. Jack filled a space with whomever he met that no one else could have occupied, as no one could fill the space that he now leaves behind.
Our sincere condolences to Jack's loved ones who are many in number.
