Grace Guidry Obituary

The Funeral Mass for Grace Guidry, 95, of Rosenberg, TX, will be 11 AM Saturday, June 7, 2014, at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 1416 George Street, Rosenberg, TX 77471. Visitation begins at 10 AM Saturday at the church, with the Rosary being recited at 10:30 AM. A second Visitation time with the family will be 1:00 PM Monday, June 9, 2014, at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church in Delcambre, LA. Burial will follow at 2:00 PM Monday at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Cemetery, Delcambre, LA. Mrs. Guidry, a native of Louisiana, who lived in Rosenberg for 53 years, passed away Tuesday, June 3, 2014. She is survived by her daughter, Glory Caswell; son, Richard Guidry and wife, Sandy; granddaughters, Denise Parenton, Donna Murphy and husband, David, and Karen Nelson and husband, Dr. Stephen Nelson; grandsons, Jason Guidry and wife, Monty, Grant Guidry and wife, Ashley, and Blake Guidry; great grandsons, Ryan and Connor Murphy, Brett and Branton Nelson, Bryce Nelson and wife, Brianna, and Grayson Guidry; great granddaughters, Langley Guidry and Reese Guidry; one great great grandson, Eli Nelson; and many nieces and nephews. Grace, affectionately called "MawMaw", was born October 28, 1918, in Vermilion Parish, Louisiana, to a large Catholic family. She was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Henry Guidry; son-in-law, Ronald Caswell; parents, Madison LeBlanc, Sr. and Noema Broussard LeBlanc; all of her siblings, and many of her nieces and nephews.
