Gerard Thibodeaux Obituary

Gerard "Jerry" Thibodeaux passed away peacefully on December 21st, 2013 at the age of 74 surrounded by his family. Son of the late Whitney Thibodeaux and Gladys Ford Thibodeaux; Brother of the late Whitney Thibodeaux, Marion Boudreaux, Elanda Boudreau and Janice Martinez. Beloved husband for 50 years to Bonnie McDonough Thibodeaux; Loving father to Martin Thibodeaux, Gerrie Thibodeaux and Gerard Thibodeaux, Jr. Grandfather to Kayla and Leo Duvernay. He is survived by his sister Darrell Albert, sister-in-law Connie Bruno Gamino and brother-and- sister-in-law John & Goldie Flanagan and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. He was a U.S. Army veteran having served with the 1st Aviation Helicopter Division - Big Red One in Germany during the Berlin crisis as the flight crew chief. He was retired from New Orleans Armature Works and J B Pest Control. The family would like to thank Linda Boudreaux for her loving support during this difficult time. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend a Memorial Service in the Chapel of Jacob Schoen & Son Funeral Home, 3827 Canal St.; on Tuesday, January 7, 2013 at 11:00 am. Visitation will begin at 9:30 am - until service time. In lieu of flowers donations to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital www.stjude.org Condolences may be expressed online www.schoencanalstreet.com
