"Fred" Kern
AIKEN, SC - Frederick Harmon "Fred" Kern, 69, beloved husband of Suzanne "Suzi" Kern, died Sunday, January 25th, 2015 at his residence.
Fred, was born and raised in Los Angeles, CA and was a son of the late Frederick and Ruth Harmon Kern. He graduated from UCLA with a BA in Business Administration and was a member of Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity. He served his country as a Lieutenant in the U.S. Navy, and qualified on the nuclear submarine, USS Woodrow Wilson. Fred had a fulfilling career in Los Angeles as VP of Marketing for Vivitar and Packard Bell. He retired to Aiken eight years ago.
Fred loved life in all its many facets. He was an accomplished musician, jamming with his Los Angeles friends in their group, "The Fat Boyz". With a lifelong thirst for knowledge, Fred, with Suzi, traveled the world many times. He was an avid sailor. His love of life will be greatly missed.
Fred was preceded in death by his parents and sister.
The funeral service will be at a later date in Los Angeles.

We grieve with you on the loss of your loved one and all SUBVETS and their families have your family in our thoughts and prayers. There is no expiration date on the back of our dolphins and Fred will always be remembered as a “Brother of the Phin” and a great Patriot.
