AIKEN, SC - Ernest George Schaub III, age 67, passed away on Thursday, July 7, 2016 at Augusta University Medical Center.
Ernest was born June 9, 1949 in Newark, NJ to the late Ernest George Schaub, Jr. and Helen Bucnyniski Schaub. He had made Aiken, SC his home for the past 29 years and had worked in the industrial maintenance industry. He was a Vietnam veteran and loved his country, his grandchildren, sports, and his guns.
He is survived by his daughter, Heather Lopez (Deyvi); a son, Matthew Schaub; three grandchildren, Gabriel Lopez-Schaub, Deyvi Lopez, and Brandon Lopez, all of Aiken, SC; and a sister, Paula McKiernan (Spencer), of Stanhope, NJ.
Funeral services will be held at 2 PM on Sunday, July 10, 2016 in the George Funeral Chapel. Interment will follow in Aiken Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends beginning at 1 PM on Sunday until the hour of service.
Memorial contributions may be directed to the Alzheimer's Association, 4124 Clemson Blvd., Anderson, SC 29621.
