Eric Hartsell Berry
RIDGE SPRING - Eric Hartsell Berry, 76, husband of Paula Terwilliger Berry, of Ridge Spring, passed away January 9, 2019.
Born October 16, 1942 in Augusta, GA, he was the son of the late Luther Hartsell Berry and Katy Williams Berry.
Mr. Berry was a life long resident of Aiken and loved all of the history here. His grandfather was a caretaker of the historic Hitchcock Woods house. Mr. Berry loved to go hiking in those woods as a child and continued his love of the outdoors in his later years. In his spare time, he loved playing golf at The Aiken Golf Club with his friends.
He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 53 years; his daughters, Dawn (Keith) Moyer, Hope (Mark) Lejeune, and Erica (Chris) Dawson; his grandchildren, Olivia, Camilla, Chloe, Ella and Lily; his brother, David Berry; and many nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Service will be held Monday, January 14, 2019 at 3PM in the chapel of George Funeral Home with Pastor David Brooks officiating. The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Mr. Berry's memory to The Hitchcock Woods Foundation, PO Box 1702, Aiken, SC 29802 or to The Belair Baptist Church, 599 S. Belair Rd, Grovetown, GA 30813.

I just found out about Eric´s death and am so saddened that I was not there for him and his family when he died. I loved Eric and want his family to know that he had such a positive impact on my life. I told him this and told him I loved him as a brother many times. He will always be remembered.
