Eleanor D. Hatfield
AIKEN, SC - Mrs. Eleanor D. Hatfield, passed away peacefully at home with her family by her side on Saturday, June 11, 2016.
The family will receive friends at 1:00 PM Friday, June 17, 2016 at Trinity United Methodist Church, 2747 Whiskey Lane, Aiken, SC. The funeral service will begin at 2:00 PM with the Reverend Lee Phillips officiating. Interment will follow in Southlawn Cemetery.
Mrs. Hatfield was born in Vineland NJ, the daughter of the late Charles and Clara Cox. She moved to Aiken 21 years ago from Maryland. Mrs. Hatfield was a Registered Nurse for over 40 years in Wilmington Delaware. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church for over 14 years.
Survivors include: Brother Charles E. Cox of Wilmington, DE, nephew Wayne (Judy) Markus of Huntsville, AL, nephew Charles (Sally) Markus of West Deptford, NJ, niece Linda (David) Ricketts of Pennsville, NJ, great nephews Jason and Jeremy Markus and Ryan Ricketts, step daughter Barbara Crawford of Elkton, MD and numerous nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her spouse Robert L. Hatfield, son James E. Davis, III, sisters Evelyn Fischer, Edna Zimmerman and Helen Markus.
Memorials may be directed to Trinity United Methodist Church, 2724 Whiskey Rd., Aiken S.C. 29803, or a charity of choice.
