AIKEN, SC - Edwin Ronald Tew, 69, beloved husband of Kathleen Ann "Kass" Lockhart, died Saturday, April 23, 2016 at University Hospital, Augusta, GA.
A Celebration of Ron's Life will be held Saturday afternoon, May 21st at 1 o'clock at Shellhouse - Rivers Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the Vietnam Veterans of America (www.vva.org).

Mr. Tew,
I doubt that I ever met you, but I was friend of Kass from Hitchcock Woods and our walks through the woods. Her sister, Martha, was a year ahead or me at AHS back in the 1960s. Be assured that you and all of yours have my sympathies.

Kass, I knew Ron through the ROMEO's, and I enjoyed sitting near to him so we could converse. He was a font of knowledge of many subjects, probably a bit of a liar (like we all are) on others, and had a wry sense of humor that kept you on your toes. His long struggle was carried out with dignity and strength, not complaint. Ron will be missed not only by the ROMEO's, but by family and friends. With best wishes. Martin and Helga Myers
