Edna Collie Eubanks
Aiken, SC - Edna Collie Eubanks, 88, beloved wife of Marion Eubanks, passed away peacefully on the morning of March 11, 2026, at Aiken Memory Care.
Born in Charlotte, NC, Edna was the daughter of the late Alexander G. Collie, Jr. and Lillie Smith Collie. She spent the majority of her life in Aiken County and retired from SRP Federal Credit Union, where she served as an internal auditor. Edna was a dedicated member of Town Creek Baptist Church, where she shared her musical talents as the long-time organist. She later became a member of Hillview Baptist Church. A passionate bowler in her earlier years, she enjoyed the time spent with her friends in the bowling league.
Her family brought her immense joy; she deeply loved her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren, and treasured the moments spent playing alongside them.
Edna is survived by her devoted husband of 66 years, Marion Eubanks; her daughter, Pamela Eubanks Courtney; grandchildren Leanne Anderson (Matthew Costello), Adam "Bubba" Courtney (Bridget), Orry Courtney (Lydia), Coty Courtney (Marlie), Brittany Wilkinson (David), and Jonathan Eubanks; great-grandchildren Ryder Courtney, Ryley Courtney, Kori Courtney, Harper June Courtney, Kramer Anderson, Cassidy Anderson, and Samuel Anderson, Lillie Wilkerson and William Wilkerson. She is also survived by her sister, Debbie Collie Huff Johnson. Edna was preceded in death by her son, David Eubanks; son-in-law, Jeff Courtney; her sister, Jeanne Traywick; and her brother, Alexander "Butch" G. Collie III.
The family will receive friends at Shellhouse – Rivers Funeral Home on Saturday afternoon, March 14th, beginning at 2 o'clock. A funeral service will follow at 3 o'clock, officiated by The Revs. Mike McAlpin and Eddie Grant. Interment will be in historic Bethany Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the Alzheimer's Association (alz.org).
