Eddie Smith Obituary
GRANITEVILLE - Mr. Eddie Smith, 68, of Graniteville, SC, entered into rest on Thursday, October 12th, 2023. A lifelong resident of the CSRA, Eddie was born on January 21st, 1955 and was a career operator at several of the area's notable manufacturing plants, most recently, Southern Felt Co., from which he retired in 2019.
Eddie was happiest when he was with his family and was an avid camper, as well as a dedicated Carolina Gamecocks fan. He never met a stranger and was a friend to all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
In addition to his wife Melissa, Eddie is survived by his children: Brandy Smith (David), Brittany Houston (Michael), Misty Redd (Jackson), his grandsons John Paul Kneece and Andrew Weeks, well as his brothers James, Larry, and Leroy and his sisters Mary and Alice.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Philip and Evelyn, as well as his sister Annette.
A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, October 18th, 2023 at 5 PM at COLE FUNERAL HOME 1544 UNIVERSITY PKWY (118 BYPASS) AIKEN, SC 29801 803-648-7175. Visitation with the family will follow after the service.
