Doreatha Brown Obituary
AIKEN - Ms. Doreatha Delores Brown, of 449 Union St. NE Aiken, SC 29801, entered eternal rest at Aiken Regional Hospital on Friday, December 22, 2017.
Funeral services will be held 1:00 PM Thursday, December 28, 2017 at the Cumberland AME Church, 111 Kershaw St. Aiken, SC (Viewing from 12 PM- 1PM) with Rev. Dr. Alvin Larke, Jr. officiating. Interment will follow in Jessamine Memorial Gardens.
She was preceded in death by her Parents, James C. Brown and Ruth Brown Gordon and her brothers, Melvin Brown and Marvin Brown while leaving to cherish her memory: Sisters, Geneva B. (Robert) Dawkins (Columbia, SC), Shirley A. Brown (Orangeburg, SC), Geraldine Gordon (Charles) Williams (Graniteville, SC) and Cassandra Gordon Holloway (Aiken, SC), sisters-in-law, Mary Ella Brown and Jacqueline Brown, (both of Aiken, SC); other relatives and loving friends.
The family will receive friends for visitation, viewing, and for the Kappa Upsilon Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. ceremony, Wednesday from 6 o'clock pm until 8 o'clock pm at Cumberland AME Church.
Friends may call the residence, 449 Union St. NE, Aiken, SC 29801 or JACKSON-BROOKS FUNERAL HOME, 126 Fairfield Street, SE, Aiken, SC 29801, 803 649 6123 Wednesday from 3 - 5:30 PM.

Dearest Shirley and family, just learned of Dot's demise. my heartfelt sympathy to you all. She was such a kind person and will be sorely missed. Absent from the body, present with the Lord.God will take care of you. Regret can't be with you, but thoughts and prayers are.
